NOOSA GRAPE CAKES :)

Updated: Oct 1, 2025

Okay, I absolutely love Noosa grape cakes. My grandmother came up with this recipe, and ever since I tried one for the first time, I've been craving them 24/7. They would be the perfect brekkie, lunch, and/or snack (don't know about dinner)! So when you hear the word, 'cake' you're probably thinking that I'm going to tell you about a sweet, spongy, dessert. Well not exactly. Let's just dive into the recipe.

This recipe makes 3 Noosa grape cakes. When I eat them, I usually gobble up 3 easily and end up feeling full (but they're so good, of course I want more).

Ingredients:

  • 3 tortillas (or you could use bread slices)

  • 1 decent-sized packet of blue cheese (blue cheese really is the best type here)

  • 1 bunch of grapes with at least 15 grapes (I've used blueberries in the past when I don't have grapes)

Method:

  1. preheat oven to grill setting (or you can do 250 degrees Celsius/482 Fahrenheit)

  2. get out a tortilla

  3. put clumps of cut-up blue cheese on the tortilla

  4. place about 5 halved grapes on top

  5. repeat steps 2-4 to put together the other ones

  6. cook the cakes in the oven for about 7-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the tortilla is sightly brown/crispy

  7. ENJOY! :)

Notes

  • they are best served and eaten hot

  • you can place the grapes on the tortilla in a vertical line and then wrap up the tortilla (that's how I prefer to eat it)

  • with the satisfying crunch of the tortilla and the way the blue cheese just melts and your mouth, the bright flavour of the grapes goes perfectly.
